Ever since the first issue in 1968, Disney stamps have done their fair share in the recruitment of new collectors, no matter the age. It is said that Disney stamps are easy to sell but harder to find as once a collector has one, they rarely want to let the stamp go. About Walt Disney

Walt Disney (1901-1966) was an American film producer, entrepreneur, and creative genius. He was known for beloved characters like his signature Mickey Mouse, who would become the mascot for the company, along with Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and Minnie Mouse.

He was also known for many feature length films like Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs (1937), Pinocchio (1940), Fantasia (1940), Dumbo (1941), Bambi (1942), Cinderella (1950) and Mary Poppins (1964). Today, he is still a household name that everyone knows.

His characters have entertained many generations and throughout the years have made their way onto memorabilia, including collectible postage stamps. The first original Disney stamp was issued by the United States in 1968 to celebrate the life and legend of Walt Disney.
